Last updated: July 17, 2026
Whodunnit is designed to keep your investigation on your device. The app does not require an account and does not collect, transmit or sell personal data.
Information the app collects
Whodunnit does not collect personal information, gameplay analytics, advertising identifiers, precise location, contacts, photos or other device data.
Data stored on your device
The app stores game progress, settings, case progress and the contents of your evidence board locally in the app’s private storage on your device. This data is used only to run the game and restore your investigation.
Accounts, analytics and advertising
- No account or sign-in is required.
- No analytics or crash-reporting service receives gameplay data.
- No advertising SDK is included.
- No tracking occurs across apps or websites.
- No personal data is sold or shared.
Network access
Gameplay does not require a network connection, and the app does not operate a backend service that receives your investigation data.
Data retention and deletion
Game data remains on your device until you replace or delete a saved case, reset progress where the app provides that option, or remove the app. Deleting Whodunnit from your device removes data stored in its app container, subject to Apple’s device backup and restore behavior.
Apple services
Apple may process information related to downloading, purchasing or updating apps through the App Store. Apple handles that information under its own privacy policy. Whodunnit does not receive your payment details.
Children’s privacy
Whodunnit does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
This website
The Whodunnit marketing pages do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, forms or non-essential cookies. The site serves its text, images, styles and scripts directly from the same website.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before those changes take effect. The revision date at the top of this page will also change.
